Abstract:
An electromagnetic contact waveguide in which damping in the connection/propagation energy of an electromagnetic wave propagating through the waveguide is reduced or controlled, and variation in the reducing or controlling is optimized. The electromagnetic contact waveguide is a continuous body having a propagation path in the traveling direction of electromagnetic wave, on which a proximal end part for receiving the electromagnetic wave, a conduction part through which the electromagnetic wave propagates, a distal end part for connecting the electromagnetic wave with other electromagnetic circuit components, and a base part for mounting the waveguide, as required, are arranged. The continuous body is provided, on the inside thereof, with a core layer having a large elastic coefficient and provided, on the outside of the core layer, continuously with a skin layer having a conductivity larger than that of the core layer or a permittivity and a permeability smaller than those of the core layer or an elastic coefficient smaller than that of the core layer; or continuously with a skin layer having a conductivity larger than that of the core layer, a permittivity and a permeability smaller than those of the core layer, and an elastic coefficient smaller than that of the core layer.
