Abstract:
Provided is an electromagnetic contactor that is produced using a simplified step for gas sealing and that is low-priced and has stable quality, a gas sealing method for an electromagnetic contactor, and a manufacturing method of an electromagnetic contactor. The electromagnetic contactor comprises the following: a base plate (7) having an open hole; a tank-shaped arc-extinguishing chamber (1) one end of which is open and which has a fixed terminal (2) fixed by insertion into a wall surface, and a pipe (3); and a closed-bottom tubular cap (8). An arc-extinguishing chamber connecting section (6) is formed from the arc-extinguishing chamber (1) and a first connecting member (4) having a tubular part (4a) one end of which is tightly connected with the open-end surface of the arc-extinguishing chamber, and a flange part (4b) that is connected to the other end of the tubular part and is capable of close contact with the base plate. A cap connecting section (12) is formed from the cap (8) and a second connecting member (5) having a tubular part (5a) one end of which is tightly connected with the open-end surface of the cap, and a flange part (5b) that is connected to the other end of the tubular part and is capable of contact with the base plate. The arc-extinguishing chamber connecting section (6) and the cap connecting part (12) are attached so as to communicate via the open hole of the base plate (7).
