Abstract:
Provided is an electromagnetic contactor that can prevent wobbling of a movable contact in the longitudinal direction when a contact mechanism is in a closing state and an opening state. An electromagnetic contactor (1) is provided with a contact mechanism (CM) that has a pair of stationary contacts (11A, 11B) and a movable contact (12) that is disposed above the pair of stationary contacts (11A, 11B) and can contact and separate from the pair of stationary contacts (11A, 11B). The movable contact (12) is disposed movably in the vertical direction on a linking shaft (37) affixed to a movable plunger (36), and also, at the center part thereof in the longitudinal direction, is held to the linking shaft (37) by being pressed by a downward biasing force provided by a contact spring (16). A plate spring member (20), which has, in the proximity of both outer ends in the longitudinal direction, a pair of biasing force imparting parts (22a, 22b) that imparts a prescribed downward biasing force to a pair of movable contact points (12d, 12e), is attached to the linking shaft (37).
