Abstract:
The disclosed electromagnetic device achieves a balance between suppressing the spread of vibrations generated by a coil component to the outside, and maintaining the heat dissipation of the heat generated by the coil component. The electromagnetic device, wherein a potting resin is filled into a gap formed inside a case which houses a coil component, has a fixing mechanism which supports and fixes the coil component to the case in a non-contact manner via the gap. The coil component is provided with a core, which is formed from a plurality of block magnetic cores and gap plates, and a coil, which is provided on a centre leg section formed in the centre of the core. The coil component is formed such that gaps are provided between the outer periphery of the coil, and the core; and the coil, with the exception of one part thereof, is contained within the case. The case is provided with a cooler connection wall which connects to a cooler, and a peripheral wall which surrounds the circumference of the cooler connection wall, and one part of which forms a wall for mounting to an external device. An opening is formed on the reverse side of the cooler connection wall. The potting resin is filled in at least the gaps between the coil component and the cooler connection wall of the case, but is not filled in the gaps between the coil component and the mounting wall of the case.
