Abstract:

The coil that is installed on a lever (55) is obtained from a flat coil (60), which is wound flat so as to generate upper and lower winding regions (61, 62) that are parallel to the direction that the lever extends along a vertical surface that is parallel to the direction that the lever (55) extends. The magnetic circuit (70) is provided with one or multiple plate-shaped permanent magnets (91, 92) that face the upper and lower winding regions (61, 62) of the flat coil (60) and are magnetized in a direction that is orthogonal to the vertical surface, and yoke members (75, 76, 77, 78) that induce lines of magnetic force of the permanent magnets so that a magnetic flux of an orientation that is orthogonal to the vertical surface is generated. Because the flat coil (60) is disposed vertically along the direction that the lever (55) extends and the magnetic circuit (70) is disposed parallel to said flat coil (60), the thickness of the scale in the width direction can be reduced.
