Abstract:
An electromagnetic gas valve that comprises: a housing that has a first port, a second port, and a valve opening that communicates with the first and second ports; a principal valve element that can move between a closed position in which the valve opening is closed and an open position in which the valve opening is open and that, as a result of the pressure of gas that is supplied from the first port, moves in an opening direction that is directed from the closed position toward the open position; an urging member that positions the principal valve element in the closed position by applying urging force to the principal valve element in a closing direction that is directed from the open position toward the closed position; and an electromagnetic drive device that makes the principal valve element move toward the open position by generating excitation force that opposes the urging force of the urging member. A damper chamber is formed inside the housing to dampen the movement of the principal valve element.
