Abstract:
Provided are an electromagnetic induction heating unit having improved temperature detection response even when the temperature of cooling medium piping in electromagnetic induction heating rapidly changes, and an air-conditioning apparatus. An electromagnetic induction heating unit (6) heats cooling medium piping (F) having the outer surface thereof composed of an SUS pipe (F2), and the electromagnetic induction heating unit is provided with a coil (68) and a fuse (15). The coil (68) is arranged in the vicinity of the cooling medium piping (F). The fuse (15) is brought into contact with the outer surface of the cooling medium piping (F), and the surface brought into contact with the cooling medium piping (F) has a shape substantially the same as that of a part of the outer surface of the cooling medium piping (F) to which the fuse is to be brought into contact.
