Abstract:

Provided are an electromagnetic induction heating unit wherein influence of a magnetic field to parts other than cooling medium piping is suppressed to be small, and an air-conditioning apparatus. An electromagnetic induction heating unit (6) heats a cooling medium piping (F) having the outer surface thereof composed of an SUS pipe (F2), and the electromagnetic induction heating unit is provided with a coil (68) and ferrite bodies (98, 99). The coil (68) is arranged in the vicinity of the cooling medium piping (F). The ferrite bodies (98, 99) include a magnetic material. The ferrite bodies (98, 99) are arranged at least on one side or the other side of the coil (68) in the direction wherein the cooling medium piping (F) extends, and on a part on the outer side opposite to the inner side, i.e., the cooling medium piping (F) side with respect to the coil (68).
