Abstract:
An electromagnetic quadrupole circuit for always optimally correcting the shape of a spot by providing a current sensing means (20) for detecting the peak value and the bottom value of a current flowing through an electromagnetic quadrupole coil (8), a control means (50) for supplying a predetermined peak control value and bottom control value, a first power source (16) for feedback control of the amount of a supply current on the basis of the peak value detected by the current sensing means (20) and the peak control value supplied from the control means (50), and a second power source (17) for feedback control of the amount of a supply current on the basis of the bottom value detected by the current sensing means (20) and the bottom control value supplied from the control means (50).
