Abstract:
An electromagnetic relay comprising: a fixed-contact terminal (10) having a fixed contact (11); a movable-contact terminal (20) having a movable contact piece (22) that is provided with a movable contact (23) disposed so as to face the fixed contact (11) and that elastically deforms such that the movable contact (23) can come into contact with the fixed contact (11), said movable-contact terminal (20) being disposed parallel to the fixed-contact terminal (10); and a self-maintaining solenoid drive unit (30) having a solenoid actuator (31) and a movable part (32), said solenoid actuator (31) having a movable iron core (311) that is disposed parallel to the movable-contact terminal (20) and can reciprocate in the extension direction thereof, and said movable part (32) being disposed between the solenoid actuator (31) and the movable-contact terminal (20) and coupled with the movable iron core (311) and the movable contact piece (22).
