Abstract:
A variation of the performance of an electromagnetic suspension unit is detected. If the integral value Σ| Vs'-Vs*| of the absolute value of the difference between the actual value Vs* and the estimate Vs' of the extension/contraction speed of a shock absorber over a preset time is larger than a performance variation judgment threshold Sth, it is judged that the performance of the electromagnetic suspension has varied (S16). If the integral value Σ|Vs*| of the absolute value of the actual value Vs* is larger than the integral value Σ|Vs'| of the absolute value of the estimate Vs' by a preset value, it is judged that the performance of the shock absorber has varied, resulting in causing damping force shortfall (S22, S23). In such a way, a variation of the performance of the electromagnetic suspension can be detected on the basis of the extension/contraction speed of the shock absorber.
