Abstract:
The present invention provides an electromagnetic suspension which reduces interference with other components or devices, can be installed in a narrow space, shows small pulsations in thrust, has large thrust, and has a high vibration-damping property against a high-frequency vibration source. The electromagnetic suspension according to the present invention uses a linear motor comprising: an armature configured by a winding wire and a magnetic body; and a permanent magnet part disposed on an outer circumferential side of the armature and configured by a permanent magnet and a cylindrical magnetic body, wherein the armature and the permanent magnet part are linearly driven in a relative manner. The electromagnetic suspension is characterized by disposing, on the same circumference as an outer circumferential part of the cylindrical magnetic body, a recessed part recessed lower than the outer circumferential part and a projection part protruding higher than the outer circumferential part.
