Abstract:
The first invention provides an electromagnetic wave absorber comprising: a current conversion element of the form of a flat plate arranged in a direction at right angles with the electric field of electromagnetic waves to convert incident electromagnetic waves into a current; a heat conversion element which is arranged at the back of said current conversion element to be in flush therewith in order to convert the current from said current conversion element into heat; a cut-off element which is arranged to couple together the ends of said heat conversion element of the side opposite to said current conversion element, and to cut off space of a direction opposite to the direction in which the electromagnetic waves propagate from space of the direction in which the electromagnetic waves propagate; and a support element which is composed of a bad conductor and which is charged in space defined by said current conversion element, heat conversion element and cut-off element. The second invention provides an electromagnetic wave absorber comprising: current conversion elements consisting of two plate-like electric conductors arranged at right angles with the electric field of electromagnetic waves to convert the incident electromagnetic waves into a current; and a heat conversion element which is arranged at the back of said current conversion elements to couple said current conversion elements together.
