Provided are electromagnetic wave absorbing particles containing a cesium tungsten oxide that is expressed by the general formula CsxW1-yO3-z (0.2 ≤ x ≤ 0.4, 0 < y ≤ 0.4, 0 < z ≤ 0.46) and has an orthorhombic or hexagonal crystal structure.
