Abstract:
Provided is an electromagnetic wave detection device that scans an object to be measured efficiently with electromagnetic waves. The electromagnetic wave detection device comprises a switching unit, control unit, and first detection unit. The switching unit is disposed on a reference plane and includes a plurality of partial areas that can be switched to a first state in which incident electromagnetic waves are made to progress in a first direction. The control unit causes some partial areas, from among the plurality of partial areas, that are in positions separate from each other in at least one direction along the reference plane to simultaneously enter the first state. The first detection unit detects the electromagnetic waves that have progressed in the first direction.
