Abstract:
An electromagnetic wave generator (100) is provided with: an oscillator (6) including a conductor plate (1), which has a cavity resonance section (11), and an electron emitter (3), which is disposed facing one surface of the conductor plate (1), and which emits electrons (e) to the conductor plate (1); and a magnetic field applicator (7), which applies, to the conductor plate (1), a magnetic field (B) that is in the direction orthogonal to the plate surface of the conductor plate (1). The cavity resonance section (11) comprises: a through hole (12) penetrating the conductor plate (1); and a plurality of resonance cavities (13) arrayed in the whole periphery of the through hole (12) in a state wherein the resonance cavities are open with respect to the through hole (12).
