Abstract:
In order to obtain an electromagnetically operated switching device in which a decrease in the mechanical strength of a core and an increase in the size of the core are mitigated, the present invention provides an electromagnetically operated switching device comprising a fixing flat plate to which a coil and a fixed core are fixed, a plunger penetrating through the coil, a drive rod to which the plunger is connected and which moves in an axial direction together with the plunger, and a permanent magnet disposed on top of the coil, wherein the coil is excited to draw the plunger, a magnetic flux generated by the permanent magnet is allowed to flow to the opposite surfaces of the plunger and the fixed core so as to hold the drawn state of the plunger, and an electric current of the opposite direction from when the plunger is suctioned is allowed to flow through the coil to release the drawn state of the plunger. The electromagnetically operated switching device is characterized in that, on the contact-portion side of at least one of the plunger and the fixed core, which are circumferentially spaced apart by a predetermined interval and are disposed opposite each other, a slit is provided to span from the outer peripheral side to the drive rod side, the slit being formed to be shallower on the drive rod side and deeper on the outer peripheral side.
