Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of obtaining: an electron beam-curable printing ink composition which has excellent adhesive properties before and after retort processing, excellent scratch resistance, and excellent heat resistance, even if a conventional polymerization initiator is not contained therein; and printed matter thereof. As a solution, the present invention provides an electron beam-curable printing ink composition which contains a pigment, a curable resin, a compound represented by general formula (1) and/or general formula (2), and dimethylpolysiloxane, wherein the compound represented by general formula (1) and/or general formula (2) is contained in a total amount which constitutes 1.0-80.0 mass% of the composition overall, and the dimethylpolysiloxane is contained in an amount which constitutes 0.01-10.0 mass% of the composition overall. General formula (1): each R independently represents -CH2-CH2-O or -CH2-CH(CH3)-O-, and l+m+n=3-21. General formula (2): R represents -CH2-CH(CH3)-O-, and l+m+n=3-21.
