Abstract:
An electronic apparatus is disclosed. The electronic apparatus comprises a communication interface, a memory which stores at least one command, and a processor connected to the memory and the communication interface to control the electronic apparatus. The processor may execute at least one instruction to: when an event for reading extended display identification data (EDID) stored in the memory occurs in an external apparatus connected through the communication interface, toggle a first signal associated with the communication interface; after the first signal is toggled, monitor a signal output from the external apparatus to identify whether the external apparatus has failed to read the EDID information; and when it is identified that the external apparatus has failed to read the EDID information, toggle a second signal associated with the communication interface.
