Abstract:
A portable telephone device (10) comprises a display (14) which displays an object such as an icon, and is capable of detecting a user's line of sight input. When the line of sight input is received upon the object, an operation linked to said object is executed. For example, when a new e-mail message is received, an e-mail icon (96a) is displayed upon the display (14). In such a circumstance, with the portable telephone device (10), a user manipulation which executes an e-mail function is predicted, and responsiveness of the line of sight input upon the e-mail icon is improved.
