Abstract:

An electronic brake system comprises: a liquid pressure supply device which comprises a reservoir in which a pressurizing medium is stored, a first pressure chamber provided on the front side of a hydraulic piston, and a second pressure chamber provided on the rear side of the hydraulic piston, and moves the hydraulic piston forward or backward to generate a liquid pressure; a hydraulic pressure control unit for controlling the flow of a liquid pressure transmitted from the liquid pressure supply device to a wheel cylinder; and a control unit for controlling the liquid pressure supply device and the hydraulic pressure control unit, wherein the liquid pressure supply device comprises: a motor having a plurality of separated system windings for moving the hydraulic piston; and a control valve for opening or closing a fluid channel through which a first pressure chamber and a second pressure chamber communicate with each other, and when one or some system windings among the plurality of system windings of the motor have a failure, the control unit opens the control valve to transfer a part of the pressure of liquid discharged from a pressure chamber to another pressure chamber, so that the part of the hydraulic pressure is used to push the hydraulic piston.
