Abstract:
There is provided an electronic camera capable of controlling exposure flexibly corresponding to the condition of a before-pickup check moving picture being displayed. For this, the electronic camera includes an image pickup element for picking up an image of an object, a display section for real-time displaying an image output from the image pickup element performing continuous image pickup, and control means for performing feedback control consisting of repetition of a loop for correcting exposure according to the luminance of the image output from the image pickup element. In the first loop immediately after start of the feedback control, the control means corrects exposure according to luminance of a plurality of images output from the image pickup element.
