Abstract:
An electronic clock comprising: a step motor (30); a drive pulse generation circuit (5) that outputs a drive pulse SP for driving the step motor; a detection pulse generation circuit (10) that outputs a detection pulse for detecting rotation of the step motor; a correction pulse generation circuit (6) that outputs a correction pulse FP; a pulse selection circuit (7) that selects and outputs each pulse; a driver circuit (20) that supplies the output from the pulse selection circuit (7) to the step motor; and a rotation detection circuit (40) that takes, as an input, a detection signal generated in response to a detection pulse (CP), and determines the rotation of the step motor; wherein the electronic clock (1) has a drive interval switch circuit (4) that switches the drive interval of drive pulses (SP) between normal drive and high-speed drive, and the rotation detection circuit (40) is configured so that the detection conditions can be changed by the drive interval switch circuit (4).
