Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an electric compressor that is easy to assemble and maintain and with which it is possible to realize size and cost reduction by reducing the number of components, while ensuring the specified insulation characteristics and heat dissipation performance of a switching element. [Solution] An electric compressor 1 has a housing 2 containing a compression mechanism 5 and a motor 3 that drives the compression mechanism 5, a circuit board 8, and an inverter circuit unit 6 connected to the circuit board 8, the circuit board 8 being assembled to the housing 2 so as to accommodate the inverter circuit unit 6 inside the housing 2, and the inverter circuit unit 6 having a semiconductor element 63, a base plate 56 on which the semiconductor element 63 is placed, and an insulating resin part 67 that covers at least a part of the semiconductor element 63 and integrates the semiconductor element 63 and the base plate 56.
