Title:
ELECTRONIC CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE, ABNORMAL SIGNAL GENERATION METHOD, AND ABNORMAL SIGNAL GENERATION PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/129531
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In order to verify the fault tolerance of a hardware system and a software system incorporated into an automobile or the like, it is necessary to implement a costly simulation or directly change the hardware to be verified, so there is a demand for a less burdensome verification of fault tolerance. This electronic control device for a vehicle includes a hypervisor 1100 that: generates, on the basis of a signal generation table 1121 which prescribes conditions relating to signal generation, an abnormal signal that causes a failure in a simulative manner; and transfers the abnormal signal to a system to be verified serving as a test execution environment, thereby making it possible to verify the impact if a system incorporated into an automobile were to fail, without introducing a costly simulation means or changing the hardware system and the software system.
