Abstract:
This electronic control device (19) is equipped with: an install execution unit (104f) for causing parameter data and/or an application program to run that is stored on a first data storage side, which is an operation side, and for writing update data acquired from an external device to a second data storage side, which is a non-operation side, thereby rewriting the second data storage side; and an activation execution unit (104g) for switching the operation side from the first data storage side to the second data storage side. The install execution unit rewrites the second data storage side while a vehicle is capable of traveling or is parked. The activation execution unit switches the operation side from the first data storage side to the second data storage side while the vehicle is parked.
