Abstract:
Provided is an electronic control device in which generation of heat is reduced by simplifying the configuration and reducing a verification calculation load, without multiplying the number of sensors or calculations. The electronic control device is provided with a sensor fusion processing unit 4 which combines a plurality of items of sensor information input from a plurality of first and second sensors 11, 12, a behavior prediction processing unit 5 which obtains a peripheral object prediction map 8 predicting the future behavior of a target object, on the basis of a host vehicle periphery map 9 combined by the sensor fusion processing unit 4, and a first comparing unit 102 which compares the peripheral object prediction map 8 predicted by the behavior prediction processing unit 5, and the output information from each of the first sensor 11 and the second sensor 12 at the prediction time, from the sensor fusion processing unit 4.
