Abstract:
The invention relates to an electronic control system, particularly for a vehicle brake system, in which a brake module (1, 2) is provided for each brake circuit, and at least one actuator (3-6) is assigned to said brake module. A local electronics unit (3c-6c) for performing acuator-specifiic and/or sensor-specific control functions and/or evaluation functions is assigned to each brake actuator (3-6) in both a constructional as well as logical manner. Said electronics unit is connected to the brake module (1, 2) of the respective brake circuit via a local brake circuit data bus. A communications system (9) is also provided with which the brake modules (1, 2) are connected to one another, to at least one driver's wish module (10), and to at least one additional control module (11-14) for setting a control function outside of the vehicle brake system.
