Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/176127
Kind Code:
A1

Provided is an electronic cymbal with which it is possible to reproduce the shape of an effect cymbal without creating an impression of thickness in regard to the thickness of the percussion surface. An electronic cymbal 100 comprises a cymbal pad 101 supported by a stand 110. The cymbal pad 101 comprises a base body 102, a pad 106, and tapping sensors 105a, 105b. The base body 102 is formed in a spherical shape that is convex upward, base-body-side percussion surface through-holes 103 being formed therein. The pad 106 is formed in a spherical shape that is convex upward covering the base body 102, pad-side percussion surface through-holes 107 being formed therein. The base-body-side percussion surface through-holes 103 and the pad-side percussion surface through-holes 107 are configured from an inclined surface in which the hole diameters increase from the striking-surface side to the reverse-surface side.
