An electronic device, according to various embodiments, comprises: a battery; a charging module for charging the battery; at least one sensor; and a controller, wherein the controller may obtain state information of the battery by using the at least one sensor, determine a charging condition of the battery on the basis of the state information of the battery, and control the charging module to charge the battery according to the charging condition. Other embodiments are possible.
