Abstract:

The electronic device, according to various embodiments, comprises: a first structure comprising a first plate comprising a first surface and a second surface which faces the opposite direction of the first surface; a second structure comprising a second plate, which faces the second surface of the first plate and has an opening formed therein, and a first side wall extending from a first end of the second plate, wherein the first structure is movable in a first direction with respect to the second plate and between an open state and a closed state with respect to the second structure, and the first structure is positioned at a first position from the first side wall when in the closed state and positioned at a second distance, which is greater than the first distance, from the first side wall when in the open state; and a flexible touch screen display, wherein the flexible touch screen display comprises a planar portion which extends so as to traverse at least a part of the first surface, is mounted on the first surface, and has a first width in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and a bendable portion which extends from the planar portion and is positioned from the planar portion to the inside of the space between the first side wall and the first structure during the closed state; the bendable portion comprises a first part, which extends from one end of the planar portion and has the same width as the first width, and a second part, which extends from the first part, faces the second plate, and has a second width smaller than the first width; the second part of the bendable portion is exposed visually and at least partially to the outside of the electronic device via the opening of the second plate; and at least a part of the first part of the bendable portion may be configured to form substantially the same plane as the planar portion when the first structure transitions from the closed state to the open state. Other various embodiments are possible.
