Abstract:

An electronic device according to one embodiment of the present document may comprise: a first housing, which includes a first edge having a first length, a second edge that is perpendicular to the first edge and has a second length that is shorter than the first length, a third edge that is parallel to the first edge and has the first length, and a fourth edge that is parallel to the second edge and has the second length; a second housing which includes, along the third edge, a fifth edge having a longitudinal length of a third length that is shorter than the first length, and which is rotatable around a hinge corresponding to the third length; a flexible display, which includes a first area and a second area that corresponds to the first housing, and a third area that corresponds to the second housing, the first area corresponding to the second length and the third length, the second area being a remaining area, of the area of the first housing, which excludes the first area, and the flexible display third area rotating with respect to the first area and the second area according to the rotation of the second housing around the hinge; and at least one processor electrically connected to the flexible display. According to various embodiments of the present document, a foldable electronic device facilitates carrying of the device in one hand of a user and can be conveniently operated, and enables the shape of the electronic device and the display area of a display to be changed while holding by the user is maintained.
