The electronic device according to various embodiments comprises: a housing; a battery; a flexible display which includes a first area and a second area that extends from the first area, and which is moved from the housing so that the size of the area viewed from the front of the electronic device changes; a sensor for identifying information related to the size of the visible area of the display; and a processor, wherein the processor can be configured to identify size information about the visible area of the display by using the information received from the sensor, and control the display in order to display information related to the available time of the electronic device on the basis of the identified size information and the remaining amount of the battery.
