Abstract:
An electronic device (1) includes: a position detecting portion (for example a GPS receiver (18)) which detects positional information relating to the device on the basis of a signal output by a satellite; a communication unit (6) which communicates with another device; and a controller (10). When a detecting function possessed by the position detecting portion is effective, the controller (10) suppresses communication by the communication unit (6) with the other device if it is determined that the detection accuracy of the position detecting portion has deteriorated.
