Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electronic device, a control method therefor, and a recording medium. The electronic device comprises: a connection unit; a storage unit; a video processing unit for processing a video signal; a first and a second graphic processing unit for processing graphic signals; and a processor for: determining supportable formats of a video signal and a graphic signal on the basis of identification data of a display device connected through the connection unit; controlling the first graphic processing unit to convert one among a first graphic signal related to the video signal and a second graphic signal stored in the storage unit so that one of the first and second graphic signals corresponds to the determined format of the graphic signal, and combine and output the first graphic signal and the second graphic signal; allowing the second graphic processing unit to receive the video signal output from the video processing unit and the graphic signal output from the first graphic processing unit; and controlling an output signal on the basis of the received video signal and graphic signal to be transmitted to an external device through the connection unit.
