Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electronic device that provides a childcare guide on the basis of speech recognition. The electronic device including a childcare assistance agent that is driven in any one of a standby mode and an activation mode, according to the present invention, comprises: a microphone configured to detect a sound; and a control unit that, when characteristic information corresponding to the sound detected through the microphone in the standby mode satisfies a preset crying criterion, switches a driving mode of the childcare assistance agent to the activation mode, analyzes context information related to the sound to extract childcare data corresponding to the analyzed context information, and outputs childcare guide information corresponding to the extracted childcare data.
