Abstract:
An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device comprises a communication interface, a memory that stores at least one instruction, and at least one processor configured to, by executing the at least one instruction: generate response information on the basis of conversation content received through the communication interface; confirm a user's current request and previous request within the conversation content so as to identify the user's request; identify, on the basis of the received conversation content, whether the user's request is a multi-turn request or a single-turn request; generate, if the user's request is the single-turn request, a confirmation request for confirming an estimated user's request; and generate, if the user's request is the multi-turn request, a response including information corresponding to the estimated user's request and omit the generation of the confirmation request.
