Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an electronic device and a control method that make it possible to detect a continuous long-press state. Provided is an electronic device comprising: an operation unit that outputs an operation signal corresponding to a touch operation by a user; a detection unit that detects a command corresponding to a touch operation on the basis of an output operation signal; and a control unit that executes processing corresponding to the detected command. The detection unit, when a long-press operation is detected as a touch operation, initializes an internal state upon detection of a break between commands, and notifies the control unit of an interrupt corresponding to a continuous long-press state. The control unit executes processing corresponding to a notified interrupt. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, an electronic device such as a wireless earphone.
