Abstract:
An electronic device, according to various embodiments, comprises: a communication circuit; a memory that stores instructions; and a processor that is operatively coupled to the communication circuit and the memory, wherein the processor enables the camera to acquire basic fingerprint data including feature information about a fingerprint from at least one region of interest included in a fingerprint registration image through an image sensor. At least one processor may be configured to acquire additional fingerprint information through the fingerprint sensor, and store, in the memory, a fingerprint template converted from the basic fingerprint data by using the additional fingerprint information.
