Abstract:
A backlight unit (49) includes a ballast capacitor (14), a balancer board (12) having a mounting surface (12f) on which the ballast capacitor (14) is mounted, and a conductive backlight chassis (43) attached to the balancer board (12). Discharge preventive finish for inhibiting conduction of current between the terminals (15) of the ballast capacitor (14) exposed from the rear surface (12r) opposite to the mounting surface (12f) and a partial surface of the backlight chassis (43) facing the terminals (15) is applied to the backlight chassis (43).
