The present document relates to an electronic device including a flexible display and an operating method of the electronic device, and according to an embodiment, the electronic device may perform: in an unfolded state, an operation of displaying, in a first region of a flexible type display, a first execution screen in a first screen ratio of a first application; on the basis of the electronic device being changed to a folded state, an operation of changing the first screen ratio of the first execution screen to a second screen ratio corresponding to a third region of the display, and obtaining a first image corresponding to the first execution screen changed to the second screen ratio; an operation of moving and displaying the first image in the third region by applying a visual effect of moving from the first region to the third region of the display through the second region of the display; and an operation of displaying the first execution screen changed to the second screen ratio in the third region, instead of the first image, on the basis of the moving of the first image being completed. Other embodiments are also possible.
