Abstract:
Provided is an electronic device which comprises: an image display device (52) having an image display surface (52a) wherein a plurality of pixels (521) are arranged with an inter-pixel region (522) being interposed therebetween; and a light-transmitting cover substrate (1) having one main surface (1A) that is arranged so as to face the image display surface (52a). This electronic device is characterized in that: the light-transmitting cover substrate (1) is formed of a single crystal body that is mainly composed of alumina (Al2O3); and the one main surface (1A) is inclined with respect to the C-plane (0001) of the single crystal body.
