Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to reduce power consumption. A data communication unit is connected to a plurality of data transfer lanes of an interface cable and carries out data communication with an external device. A control unit selectively controls states of the plurality of data transfer lanes to be lane states for reducing power consumption. For example, further provided is a control communication unit which is connected to one control data transfer lane of the interface cable and which carries out a control communication with the external device. The control unit controls the states of the plurality of data transfer lanes according to the control communication in the control communication unit.
