Abstract:
An electronic device according to various embodiments may be configured to comprise: a connection circuit for connecting an external electronic device; a processor configured to, on the basis of the external electronic device connected to the connection circuit, when a power state of the electronic device is a power saving state, and a charging function configuration state for the external electronic device is determined to be a charging activation state, transmit a first control signal including power saving state information of the electronic device and a second control signal including charging activation state information to a low power control circuit; and the low power control circuit configured to cut off a first power to a data input/output control circuit on the basis of the power saving state information of the electronic device, which is included in the first control signal, and supply a second power to the external electronic device connected to the connection circuit, on the basis of the charging activation state information included in the second control signal. Various other embodiments may be provided.
