Abstract:
An electronic device to be fitted on a user, provided with a light-emitting part for emitting light on the user's skin, a light-receiving part provided at a position where light reflected by the user's skin can be received when the device is fitted on the user and the light-emitting part is emitting light, and a control part. The control part performs a skin assessment for determining whether or not the user's skin fulfills a prescribed darkness condition on the basis of the amount of light received by the light-receiving part and performs a fitting assessment for determining whether or not the device is fitted on the user at least on the basis of the amount of light received by the light-receiving part, if it is determined in the skin assessment that the darkness condition is fulfilled, the fitting assessment is not performed.
