Abstract:
According to various embodiments, an electronic device comprises: a Bluetooth communication module; a memory; and a processor operatively connected to the Bluetooth communication module and the memory, wherein the processor may be configured to perform the operations of: receiving, through the Bluetooth communication module, a transmission power increase request from an external electronic device during Bluetooth communication with the external electronic device; compare a transmission power level based on the received increase request with a second maximum transmission power level which is set to be smaller than a first maximum transmission power level that can be provided by the electronic device; when the transmission power level based on the increase request is less than the second maximum transmission power level, transmit a message indicating an increase in the transmission power level to the external electronic device after the transmission power level of the Bluetooth communication module is increased; and, when the transmission power level based on the increase request is equal to or greater than the second maximum transmission power level, transmitting, to the external electronic device, a message indicating that the transmission power level is the maximum transmission power level, without increasing the transmission power level of the Bluetooth communication module. Other embodiments may be possible.
