Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an electronic device and a method for controlling a wireless communication connection thereof, the method comprising the steps of: receiving and storing at least one piece of first account information stored in at least one server; broadcasting a beacon signal including an indicator, which indicates that Wi-Fi access is granted, at least partially on the basis of the account information related to the server; receiving at least one piece of second account information from a nearby electronic device which has received the beacon signal; determining whether the second account information is related to the first account information, at least partially on the basis of data exchanged with the server; and granting the nearby electronic device's access for Internet use without requesting credential information from the nearby electronic device when it is determined that the second account information is related to the first account information. Various other embodiments are also possible.
