The present document relates to an electronic device and a method for correcting a typographical error of a keyboard input. According to one embodiment, the electronic device allows at least one processor to: control a display such that a keyboard (201) is displayed in response to an application being executed; collect context data related to a touch input on the basis of receiving the touch input from the keyboard; store the collected context data in a memory; generate statistical data of a key being input and store same in the memory on the basis of the collected context data; analyze the movement of the touch input on the basis of the statistical data of the key being input that is stored in the memory; adjust a touch move sensitivity value on the basis of the analysis result; identify, as an input key, a key corresponding to a touch-down position or a touch-up position of the touch input on the basis of the adjusted touch move sensitivity value; and process the input of text corresponding to the input key. Other embodiments are possible.
