Abstract:
Provided is an electronic device that has an electronic element section thereof sealed with glass panels, and wherein reliability with respect to impacts or other forces from outside is enabled to be improved, while improving moisture resistance, weather resistance, and other properties. The electronic device (1) is provided with a first glass substrate (2), a second glass substrate (3), and an electronic element section (4) formed between the glass substrates (2, 3). The electronic element section (4), formed between the first glass substrate (2) and the second glass substrate (3), is sealed with a sealing layer (9) comprising a melted and adhered layer of sealing glass material. Tempered glass (11) is pasted onto the external surface of the first glass substrate (2) and/or the second glass substrate (3).
