Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an electronic device and a method for positioning. Disclosed is an electronic device for a base station side. The electronic device comprises a processing circuit, which is configured to: enable a first intelligent surface set to reflect a first reflected beam set, wherein the first reflected beam set is used for a first beam scan on a user equipment (UE); enable a second intelligent surface set to reflect a second reflected beam set, wherein the second reflected beam set is used for a second beam scan on the UE, the second intelligent surface set is selected from the first intelligent surface set, and the beam width of the second reflected beam set is less than the beam width of the first reflected beam set; and determine the position of the UE at least partially on the basis of a result of the second beam scan.
